About Jim

Jim Myers brings over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional client service. He earned his Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation in 2002 and founded Myers Benefit Consulting in 2001, where he has provided tailored benefit solutions to individuals and businesses.

In 2024, Jim successfully transitioned ownership of Myers Benefit Consulting, marking a significant milestone in his career. While no longer involved in the day-to-day operations, he continues to serve as an advisor, offering counsel and insight on client files. Jim is deeply appreciative of the relationships he built over the years and takes great pride in the role he played in supporting his clients’ long-term financial and benefit planning.

Based in Grande Prairie, Jim is deeply committed to community involvement. He actively supports organizations such as the QEII Foundation, STARS Air Ambulance, and the Canadian Cancer Society, aligning both his personal values and professional mission with giving back. Jim is also a proud member of the Swan City Rotary Club.

Outside of work, Jim enjoys an active lifestyle as a kayak instructor and avid skier. He values spending time outdoors with his two grown children and shares a love of travel, music festivals, and entertaining.
